This Award program originated in the UK in 1956 as the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (DEAS) The aim was to help the young people bridge the gap between adolescence and adulthood smoothly and involve them in a balanced program of voluntary self-development activities. The school has taken an initiative to launch this award for the overall development of the students and to consolidate, integrate and channel their energies in the right direction.
