The Objectives of the Society:
- Preservation of art , religion and cultural heritage of the Himalayan Buddhists.
- To assist and help in solving the economic social and moral problems of the Buddhists belonging to Distt Kullu, Lahaul Spiti and Zanskar.
- Upliftment of down trodden , unemployed and poor Buddhists of the area concerned.
- To improve the conditions of the old Monasteries (Gompas) and to preserve antiques.
- To make strenuous efforts to remove social evils.
- To open schools to teach Buddhist philosophy.
- To construct sarais, community hall ,library ,hospital and schools.
- To encourage intellectuals , scholars and literary persons having faith in Buddhism, by organising social cultural and literary symposium , seminars and conference.
- To safeguard the interest of Buddhist residing in concerned areas.
- To translate the valuable Bhoti and Pali literatures into Hindi, English and other languages.
- To encourage mutual exchange of visits of scholars amongst the Buddhist countries.
